The Connecticut Girls Soccer Coaches Association was established 15 years ago by a group of very dedicated High School girls soccer coaches.

The mission of the CGSCA is to promote and strengthen development of girls high school soccer in Connecticut. We serve to recognize deserving female soccer players throughout the state with selection by member coaches to various All-State teams. Since the CGSCA inception, we have recognized over 1920 players on the state level. The CGSCA through its association with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has had over 61 female players recognized with All-American honors and over 242 All New England honors. Three female players have attained NSCAA National Player of the Year Honors. Two Connecticut High School Girls' coaches have garnered National Coach of the Year Honors. The CGSCA is constantly growing. With your membership here is what we have to offer...

  • The CGSCA at the 2004 Annual Banquet honoring our CGSCA All-State Players celebrated its 16th year and had over 600 athletes, coaches, parents, and college representatives attend. These players were selected by you, the coaches, through a league ranking system

  • As a member of the CGSCA, your school knows that their players are eligible for All New England and All American honors.

  • The CGSCA offers in sponsorship with KELME and other vendors listed on the home page, a Senior Bowl Game at Southern Connecticut State University. In 2004 representatives from over 93 different schools participated. They were from all four divisions and the Prep schools of the state. 51 College coaches were also in attendance.

  • The CGSCA (through its affiliation with the NSCAA) has the greatest representation of female soccer players at the New England regional and All-American levels. This draws the attention of college coaches and benefits all the players and programs throughout Connecticut. Our numbers are determined by the number of members we have.
