CGSCA Membership
Connecticut Girls Soccer Coaches Association
- On February 23, 1989, the Connecticut Girls Soccer Coaches Association (CGSCA) was established for the purpose of promoting girls soccer at the high school level and recognizing girls varsity soccer players in the state of
Connecticut. A membership in the CGSCA will guarantee that your players will be
eligible for All New England and All American honors. Players selected by the
CGSCA will be honored at our annual All-State Awards Banquet in January.
Membership in the CGSCA will offer you and your players the following benefits:
- Automatic membership in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America which increases
Connecticut eligibility for All-American Teams.
- Opportunity for your players to be eligible for
CGSCA scholarships.
- Opportunity for involvement in the All-State selection process.
- Opportunity for individual player and Team Awards.
- Opportunity for involvement in the selections for the Senior Bowl All-Star
game.
- Opportunity for your players to be named CGSCA/KELME MVP of your team.
- Opportunity for involvement on boards, committees, groups to enhance soccer in Connecticut
- Eligibility for membership: varsity high school coaches (public, private, or parochial) may join as a
full member. Any other person (assistant coaches, college coaches, athletic directors
or any interested person having an interest in promoting girls soccer in
Connecticut) may join as Associate Members.
DUES: $75.00 PER YEAR
You as a coach are responsible to see that dues are paid by August 1 of each
calendar year .
Membership Dues are often paid or reimbursed by School Boards, Booster Clubs and/or Athletic Directors.
